District Resident Admits To Murder Of Man In Maryland: State's Attorney

A District resident admitted to his role in the fatal shooting of a man in Calvert County last summer, according to the state's attorney's office.

Anthony Hill, 28, pleaded guilty in Calvert County Circuit Court to his role in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Dakarai Milburn in the Yardley Hills neighborhood in Prince Frederick on Aug. 1, 2023, authorities announced on Monday.

Milburn was found shot in the chest once on the day of his death, investigators said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Specifically, Hill pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, use of a handgun in a crime of violence, and unlawful possession of a regulated firearm.

When he is sentenced in July, Hill will face up to 75 years in prison, including at least five of which to serve without the possibility of parole.
